The Center for Academic Technologies provides technical support services to the Concord community. The CAT's primary objective is to provide technical support to all academic areas. Non-academic areas are serviced by Computer Services.

Virus Procedures
The Center for Academic Technologies currently employs a managed version of Symantec's Antivirus Client/Server software. This software allows us to automatically update, on a daily or as needed basis, all clients to the latest version of Symantec's virus definitions.

Scans are done on a daily basis to help remove any infected files from users computers. In the event that a new virus makes it on campus and requires removal we will come to your computer and run the appropriate removal tool.

If a user wishes to run the fix themselves, contact the Center for Academic Technologies (x5361) and they can refer you to which tool you need to download. The fixes are usually located on the “catftp” server under the folder “VIRUS.”
